James Connolly was a Scottish-born socialist whose role in the Easter Rising has become part of Irish legend. The commemorative shows a portrait of James Connolly with the Starry Plough flag, which symbolises the present and the future of the working class respectively. Whilst the inscription comprises the words ‘The Hero of the Working Man’, as he sought to protect workers, and was the commander for the ICA which later took part in the Easter Rising.

Struck as an eternal reminder of everything he did during the fight for Irish Independence, I am proud to present to you The Seven Signatories 'James Connolly' Commemorative Medal – an everlasting tribute to one of the most important figures that led to the event that changed the history of Ireland forever, the 1916 Easter Rising.

Struck to Proof quality, the highest possible standard, this beautiful medal depicts a portrait of James Connolly on the reverse and the Anglo-Irish Treaty parchment impression featuring ‘Sworn to be free’ in Irish Gaelic, surrounded by the Celtic knot and year the Irish Free State was established on the obverse.

With just 30,000 medals struck worldwide, I expect substantial demand for this poignant reminder of the actions of a man who gave his life for his country.
