This set that has been created to honour the fight for independence and creation of the Irish Free State. including five of the original bronze pennies from when Ireland became the Free State.

These feature the famous designs of the chicken and hen and harp. Free State coins were only struck in five different year dates, and this set has an example of all the years 1928 – 1931 – 1933 – 1935 – 1937. The centre piece of the set is a fantastic solid gold medal, honouring Michael Collins, and inscribed with “This is struck to commemorate the anniversary of the creation of the Irish Free State on 6th December 1922”.

Struck in solid gold, 28mm diameter, just over 4g, slightly bigger than a €2 (25mm) only 300 sets have been put together because we have sourced the best condition pennies for the set.
