In 1984 the Angel was re-introduced by the Isle of Man government. Then in 1994 it was first struck in 24-carat Gold and in 2008, they introduced a brand-new design bringing back some features of the original coin including Michael’s feathered wings and a Viking knit motif around the rim. Since then, it has gone on to become one of the world’s most sought-after coins.

It is exactly thirty-five years since the reintroduction of this fabulous coin and to commemorate this special anniversary, The Dublin Mint Office has secured a limited number of 2019 Angels. Each features an exclusive, anniversary privy mark, a beautiful coral design layered in rose gold, the first time ever that this has appeared on this extraordinary coin.

Struck in 24-carat Gold and to the highest possible Proof quality, this unmissable coin is expected to be in extremely high demand from collectors all over the world. The obverse features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark while the reverse depicts the archangel Michael slaying a dragon. The rim is embellished by a stunning Viking knit motif with the Isle of Man Triskelion at the 12 o’clock position.
